Championship Week was a shocking one, folks. The College Football Playoff field felt like it was all sewn up but USC and TCU had to go out and lose and really mess everything up.

The weekend started on Friday night with No. 4 USC taking on No. 11 Utah in the Pac-12 title game. Almost everyone expected the Trojans to take care of the Utes because it’s really tough to beat a team twice in a single season, but Kyle Whittingham’s team did it in 2021 to Oregon. Well, the Utes did it again this year as they beat USC for a second time, 47-24.

USC will not be going to the playoff.

On Saturday, the day kicked off with the Big 12 title game and another potential elimination game as No. 3 TCU took on No. 10 Kansas State. The Horned Frogs lost in overtime and while some think that might lead to the end of their playoff hopes, I don’t see it that way.

The SEC title game came shortly after as Georgia had its way with LSU, unsurprisingly, for most of the game. The Bulldogs should lock up that No. 1 seed with a 20-point win over LSU.

Then Michigan and Clemson took care of business to end the night. One will be headed to the playoff while the other will hope to hold on to a top-10 ranking.

What will the final playoff rankings look like on Sunday?
