Dino Babers, Syracuse HC

Purdue football fans should be somewhat familiar with Babers since he was the wide receivers coach there in the early 1990s.

Babers has been a head coach at Syracuse and Bowling Green, as well as at Eastern Illinois. After 18 wins in two seasons at Bowling Green, Babers went to Syracuse and notched a 10-win season.

The 36-48 overall record might not excite Purdue fans but Syracuse isn’t the easiest place to win and Babers has experience in the Midwest.

Syracuse is also trending up again and went 7-5 this season, notching some impressive wins and if Purdue is insistent on an experienced head coach, he would make a lot of sense.
