Alabama football strikes again

It’s incredible that Alabama was well on its way to the No. 1 2023 college football recruiting class before adding a trio of five-star commitments in the last two days, but that’s Alabama.

Nick Saban is a great coach and a great recruiter and his Alabama football program will continue to be as talented as any college football team in the country.

The run of five-stars started on Tuesday with the commitment of five-star offensive tackle Kadyn Proctor, who is ranked as the No. 2 OT by the 247 composite rankings.

Then, Alabama added James Smith and Qua Russaw on Early National Signing Day. Smith is a five-star EDGE and Russaw is an outside linebacker that’s also a five-star and potential pass rusher.

In all, Alabama football landed 26 blue-chippers and six five-star recruits which is at least two more than any other team. Texas finished with four. Oregon and Miami had three and Georgia had two.
