1. CJ Stroud, QB, Ohio State

CJ Stroud joins Alabama quarterback Bryce Young as the headliner for the 2023 NFL quarterback class. While there is no clear-cut distinction between which is the better prospect, Stroud could shift the discussion in his favor on New Year’s Eve.

The two-time Heisman finalist sits as Mel Kiper’s No. 2 quarterback and No. 7 player overall, and will probably be a top-five pick, with the chance to move up to the No. 1 spot. Stroud has plenty still to prove after not being able to beat Michigan again and will have the opportunity to win a huge game here in the Peach Bowl.

Stroud leads one of the most explosive passing offenses in the country. While he has all of the weapons in the world surrounding him, he is what makes the offense go. He has not faced a defense as talented as Georgia’s in his career, and how he plays will not only dictate his draft stock but the result of the game.

Stroud has a huge chance to prove that he’s the top player in the draft class, and it’s up to him to show it to us.
