Syracuse season ends with a thud

Before the season, 7-6 probably would have been seen as a success for Syracuse and head coach Dino Babers. Yet, after a 6-0 start, it leaves the season feeling somewhat hollow.

The Orange were riding high after a win over North Carolina State. They even jumped out to a lead over Clemson and looked like they were headed for a huge upset.

It didn’t happen and Syracuse lost its first game. Then, the Orange lost four straight by double figures. Syracuse did rally for a win over Boston College and the Orange didn’t have their star running back but with the way the season ended (1-6), Dino Babers hot seat is still a little warm.

A bowl win would have helped cool things off and give the Orange some much-needed momentum going into the offseason. People say bowl games don’t matter but ask the teams and coaches that lose them.
