Season Overview: Texas showed improvement despite losing two of its best offensive players before the season started. They were able to grind out a victory against Iowa State but surrendered a big lead against Oklahoma State. Quarterback Quinn Ewers had a solid first season as the starting quarterback while dealing with injuries. Running back Bijan Robinson proved why he was one of the best running backs in the country and a top NFL prospect.
2023 Outlook: Consistency. The Longhorns have to be more consistent. The Longhorns have recruited well and made critical pickups in the portal. The Longhorns get Isaiah Neyor back at receiver. Where the improvement needs to be for the Longhorns is defense. It was improved, but the defense has to take another step if the Longhorns want to contend in its last season in the Big 12.
