Right when you thought Jim Harbaugh was going to stay with the Michigan football program for life, a new set of offseason NFL rumors has been heating up.

Harbaugh shot down the rumors in the middle of the season, citing “it’s that time of the year” and stating that he’d be back to coach Michigan with enthusiasm unknown to mankind in 2023.

But that no longer seems to be guaranteed.

After losing in the Fiesta Bowl to TCU, the rumors began heating up even more and Harbaugh was connected to jobs like the Broncos, the Colts, and even the Panthers.

And we haven’t heard him shoot any of the reports down yet because they’re stating that some teams have been in contact with him about their vacancies. That makes this round of Harbaugh to the NFL rumors extra interesting.

Reports are coming out everywhere regarding Jim Harbaugh

There have been some interesting reports from some well-connected reports in the Michigan landscape regarding Harbaugh to the NFL.

This one was particularly interesting:

What could this possibly mean about his growing frustration with college football but it’s not about NIL, money, or control? The transfer portal? Is he just sick of recruiting and wants to focus on the coaching aspect which he’s done a great job with over the past two seasons? All of that seems possible at this point.

Then there’s this report from Tuesday:

The Panthers aren’t even formally looking for a coach yet and their first move was to reach out to Harbaugh? That seems interesting. Almost like he’s the favorite for the job.

And the Broncos have also reached out about their vacancy.

All we can say right now is these rumors feel a little different than in previous years because Harbaugh hasn’t come out and denied them and they’re coming from just about everywhere, including from reporters who previously stated there was a “0 percent” chance he would leave Michigan.
