The 2022 college football season has officially ended and was an eventful year, to say the least.

We saw coaches in new places excelling right away such as Sonny Dykes at TCU, Kalen DeBoer at Washington, Marcus Freeman at Notre Dame, Dan Lanning at Oregon, Brian Kelly at LSU, and Lincoln Riley at USC. All of these guys should have some of the best teams in the country next season and will continue to climb up the coaching ranks.

We also saw some big-name players contend for the Heisman Trophy as Bryce Young attempted to defend his crown, CJ Stroud was right up there, and guys like Max Duggan and Stetson Bennett gave hope to the little guys in the years moving forward. Bennett is a former walk-on who was a Heisman finalist and Duggan began the 2022 season as TCU’s backup.

The national title game between those two Heisman finalist quarterbacks wasn’t as close as everyone would have hoped, but you have to give it up to TCU for even making it this far.

Will Dykes have the Horned Frogs back in national contention next season? It’s possible, but not having Duggan back will hurt their chances.

Georgia, on the other hand, should be loaded yet again.

So, without further ado, here’s what I think the Top 25 could look like to begin the 2023 season.
