1. TCU

When I heard that Walker Howard was also expected to visit TCU this weekend, that just felt like the perfect fit for me, although the fact that the Horned Frogs just lost their offensive coordinator to Clemson is going to make it a little more difficult though.

However, Sonny Dykes and the Horned Frogs just reached the college football national championship and Max Duggan, the starting quarterback, was the Heisman runner-up.

That’s not a bad spot to recruit from. The Horned Frogs do play in the Big 12 and aren’t going to the SEC like Texas, however, the Big 12 is going to be a solid league.

Chandler Morris was the starter this season before he was injured and replaced by Duggan. Morris was a redshirt sophomore but has flashed and in 2021, he was the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week after totaling 531 yards against Baylor, with 461 in the air and 70 on the ground.

Morris would be the top competition but TCU has been looking for an upgrade or at least some depth in the transfer portal and Howard would be a great option. Not only could he compete for the job right away, but he would also have four years of eligibility.

TCU might not land Walker Howard, but if he doesn’t have an issue with leaving the SEC, I don’t see a better fit out there than the Horned Frogs.
