Texas A&M football: 3 second-year players who’ll become stars in 2023
Jimbo Fisher may be fresh off a 5-7 season with Texas A&M football and trying to avoid some hot-seat talk this offseason, but he has a ton of talent on the roster to work with.
The Aggies signed one of the best recruiting classes of all time in 2022 and those guys are going to have a shot at turning the program around.
Which three players from that highly-touted 2022 class will have the biggest impacts on the team and become stars in 2023?
I really like what Le’Veon Moss brings to the table at running back, and now he has an opportunity in front of him with Devon Achane gone.
Amari Daniels is likely to take over as the starter in the backfield, but Moss was the third option in the backfield last season, finishing with 114 yards and a touchdown on 27 carries. LJ Johnson has transferred out, so that opens an even bigger door for Moss to take over as the RB1 or RB2.
Believe it or not, Moss was the 16th-highest-rated recruit in the Aggies’ 2022 class, and yet he was still ranked No. 82 in the country. That just goes to show how loaded Texas A&M’s class was last cycle.
Moss has solid size at 6-foot-0 and 190 pounds and he’s electric as well. He should make some noise in the backfield in 2023.
