The tight end position has flourished in the Jim Harbaugh era and the 2023 season will see no different results.

Although Luke Schoonmaker is gone and Erick All has decided to follow Cade McNamara to Iowa as a transfer, the Wolverines bring back an exciting young tight end in Colston Loveleand who showed flashes this past season for the Big Ten champions.

It’ll be tough to replace 35 catches for 418 yards and three touchdowns which is what Schoonmaker produced in 2022, but Loveland looks like a budding star.

If I had to bet, I’d say that he surpasses that total in 2023.

Loveland already has a solid rapport with JJ McCarthy as he had 16 catches for 235 yards and two touchdowns as a freshman. His sophomore year is going to be huge as I think he’s an All-Big Ten caliber tight end.
