Ohio State football: 3 second-year players who’ll become stars in 2023
Although Zach Harrison is gone, the starting defensive end spot is locked up by superstar JT Tuimoloau. He will be one of the best defensive linemen in the country this upcoming season and a potential No. 1 draft prospect but don’t sleep on Kenyatta Jackson to crack the two-deep and to play extensively.
Jackson was Ohio State’s fourth-best recruit in the 2022 class and he was a top-60 overall prospect so there’s an expectation for him to contribute heavily.
The former four-star didn’t play much as a true freshman and was able to retain that redshirt. He finished his first year with the Buckeyes with two total tackles and a tackle for loss in three games. It was a quiet year, to say the least.
Jackson has a strong 6-5, 235-pound frame and Anrew Ivins of 247Sports compared him to Clemson star KJ Henry and projects him as a future Day 2 pick.
