2. Maryland

One thing that’s interesting is that Steve Wiltfong reported that Maryland was the team he viewed as the leader heading into this past weekend. Hopkins of Scoop Duck also wrote that Maryland is the team he sees as the biggest threat.

Harbor is from the DMV and distance is always a key factor. Oregon is all the way across the country and that’s probably the biggest factor working against the Ducks.

The fact that Harbor made just one visit to Oregon also isn’t a great sign. Normally, cross-country recruits like that tend to make a few visits to get comfortable. Maryland is still the leader in visits with four, although South Carolina and Michigan have also gotten him on campus multiple times.

At this point, it’s hard to call Maryland the favorite, but the Terps could be the safe choice for Harbor if he decides Oregon is just too far away.

1. Oregon

One rule of recruiting is to get the last visit or the last word and Oregon was able to do that by bringing in Nyckoles Harbor for an official visit.

Dan Lanning and the Ducks showed a strong ability to close in contested recruiting battles during Early Signing Day and that will be tested again.

It never hurts to have Nike and Phil Knight in your corner, especially with a kid that really values track as much as football and the Ducks seem to check all of the boxes more than others.

dark. Next. Rank

Yet, there are still 48 hours to go and a lot can change. However, my prediction is still for Oregon.
