3. Jacob Oden (4-star DB to Michigan)

Michigan has been a hot topic of conversation when it comes to college football recruiting. Jim Harbaugh was flirting with the NFL again and you wonder what kind of impact it will have on recruiting.

So far in 2024, Michigan is off to a strong start. Jacob Oden, the fifth-ranked player in the state of Michigan according to the 247 sports composite rankings, just committed over the weekend.

Oden chose the Wolverines over Michigan State, Tennessee, and some others. The Wolverines also have a solid class that ranks 7th right now in the 247 composite rankings. Oden is ranked 160th overall and is the top-ranked recruit. He’s among four blue chips in a class of six.

The Wolverines still need to prove they can land top-100 talents and getting someone like five-star QB Jadyn Davis would help. But the addition of Oden is big in the state of Michigan and shows the Wolverines can still get some high-end talent, at least close to home.
