Sam Pittman and Arkansas football probably wish they had a re-do on the 2022 season, but they’ll get a chance to bounce back in 2023.

Unfortunately, the middle of that 2023 schedule is an absolute gauntlet and if Arkansas can manage to win 8-9 games next season, that would be massive.

It’s not going to be easy, but with KJ Jefferson and Raheim Sanders coming back next season, anything is possible. Oh, and Pittman is a pretty darn good coach, too.

Let’s dive into some way-too-early game-by-game predictions for the Razorbacks.

Western Carolina is going to be a nice warm-up game for an Arkansas team looking to get back on track after a somewhat disappointing 2022 season. The poor Catamounts will just act as sacrifice for a team looking to conjure up some early-season momentum. They’ll get a nice check, though.

Prediction: Win (1-0)

If you’re hoping for a matchup between Arkansas and one of the best teams from the MAC, you sadly won’t get it here.

Kent State was just 5-7 last season and I just don’t think they match up well with any team in the Power Five so this one is going to get ugly quickly and it could be on “shutout” watch. KJ Jefferson and Co. should drop close to 50 in this one.

Prediction: Win (2-0)
