Arkansas football: Way-too-early game-by-game predictions for 2023

Yet another tough road game in the middle of the season for Arkansas and while I think Florida is a year or two away from being a true contender in the SEC, I do think they’ll take this game in Gainesville.

Anthony Richardson is gone which may help Arkansas’ chances here, but winning in The Swamp is just never easy. I think this will be a close game throughout and I could even see Arkansas holding a late lead, but there will be some Ben Hill magic that leads to a Florida win to kick off November.

Prediction: Loss (5-4, 2-4)

I don’t see Auburn recovering fully from the last couple of seasons under Bryan Harsin but that doesn’t mean they won’t be somewhat competitive under Hugh Freeze. The hire may have been met with mixed reviews by Auburn fans, but he’s going to recruit at a high level and he’s shown he can coach in the SEC.

Arkansas picks up a much-needed win here to get back on track after what will end up as a nightmare stretch of games.

Prediction: Win (6-4, 3-4)
