Texas A&M football: Way-too-early game-by-game predictions for 2023
Losing Hendon Hooker is going to hurt Tennessee more than people realize as the Volunteers depended on him a ton last season. He was injured at the end of the season and that’s when Tennessee went from playoff contender to out of the race. I just don’t trust Joe Milton to have the same type of impact.
I do, however, think that Tennessee is very tough to beat at home and the overall talent on the roster is much better under Josh Heupel. It’s amazing how good this program can be when it has a good coach.
Tennessee gets the best of Texas A&M here.
Prediction: Loss (4-3, 1-3)
Spencer Rattler is coming back for another season. That’s bad news for the rest of the SEC as he looked really solid for South Carolina last season, but I just don’t know if the Gamecocks are “beat Texas A&M on the road” good yet. They did just beat the Aggies in Columbia last season, but Texas A&M will be back for blood.
Jimbo Fisher and the Aggies will have the perfect gameplan drawn up for the Gamecocks and they’ll get revenge in 2023.
Rattler is going to have nightmares about that Texas A&M defensive line.
Prediction: Win (5-3, 2-3)
