I’ve gone back and forth with this one. Do I think Florida is the better team? Yes, especially with Will Levis gone but Devin Leary has transferred in and I think he’ll be just good enough to give the Wildcats an edge at Kroger Field.

This is one of those rivalries that was one-sided forever but Kentucky has turned the tides in recent years. Kentucky has won two straight and three out of the last five and I think that improves to three straight and 4-of-6 this season.

Prediction: Loss (3-2, 1-1)

Vanderbilt will come to town the following week after the tough Kentucky loss which I believe will be decided by just one score and the Gators will rebound in a resounding way against a Commodore program that may be improved under Clark Lea but it still has a long way to go.

It’s hard to believe Vanderbilt finished with five wins last season, but Lea is doing an excellent job at his alma mater.

But I don’t think the Commodores are ready to pull off a win in Gainesville over an angry Florida team coming off a tough loss.

Prediction: Win (4-2, 2-1)
