Michigan football: Way-too-early game-by-game predictions for 2023
Indiana was one of the worst teams in the Big Ten last season as Tom Allen seems to be wearing out his welcome in Bloomington, but the quarterback room got a major upgrade with Tayven Jackson transferring in from Tennessee to compete with Dexter Williams for the starting job.
Of course that won’t mean much here as the Wolverines will stifle every other part of the Hoosiers’ offense and the Indiana defense just won’t be able to stop Michigan’s rushing attack.
This game is over by halftime.
Prediction: Win (7-0, 4-0)
Ah yes, the rivalry game heard ‘round the world this past season. Michigan and Michigan State got ugly after the game and while that was all anyone could talk about for weeks, I think we’ll actually see a good game this time around.
Michigan State should be better than the 5-7 team it regressed to in 2022 and I think it’ll play the Wolverines tough in East Lansing like it always seems to do.
Nathan Carter will try to do his best Kenneth Walker III impression, but it just won’t be enough as Michigan retains Paul Bunyan and Jim Harbaugh pulls even with Mel Tucker at 2-2.
Prediction: Win (8-0, 5-0)
