3. Florida State football

If people aren’t taking Florida State football seriously, it’s about time they start. The Seminoles won 10 games last season and are easily a top-10 team heading into the 2023 college football season with a number of key players returning such as QB Jordan Travis.

The Seminoles signed the 18th-ranked recruiting class in 2023 but the transfer portal ranking for Florida State football was No. 4. We are going to rank them even higher and make them the third-biggest winner in the transfer portal.

One reason for that was the way the Seminoles added elite talent at all three levels of the defense starting with the No. 1 cornerback Fentrell Cypress from Virginia. The 6-foot defender was wanted by Michigan and Ohio State badly, but Norvell and the Noles got him.

Defensive tackle Braden Fiske, a 6-foot-5, 300-pounder who played at Western Michigan, was another top defender and will be joining Florida State football, as well as Gilber Edmond who had two sacks and nine tackles for loss for South Carolina.

Florida State also added three offensive linemen. Two of them were rated as three-star additions but still, the Noles reinforced their offensive and defensive lines, plus Jaheim Bell is one of two four-star tight ends.

Looking at the Florida State football roster, there aren’t many holes and that’s because the Seminoles did a spectacular job in the transfer portal.
