UCLA football: Way-too-early game-by-game predictions for 2023
Stanford is entering a new era with David Shaw stepping down after the season and giving way to former FCS coach Troy Taylor. It’s going to be weird not seeing Shaw on the sidelines for the Cardinal after he experience a decade-plus of success there.
But the end of his run was forgettable.
The Cardinal are in a bad spot talent-wise and this is going to be an ugly season for Stanford.
UCLA is going to win this one with ease.
Prediction: Win (5-2, 2-2)
Colorado is one of my picks to be one of the most improved teams in college football this season with the home-run hire of Deion Sanders and his ability to reel in talent immediately, including former five-star cornerback Travis Hunter and his quarterback son Shedeur Sanders.
But being one of the most improved teams in the nation doesn’t mean much when you win one game the year before — there’s literally nowhere to go but up.
I don’t think Colorado is ready to upset UCLA here at the end of October, but it will at least be a competitive game.
Prediction: Win (6-2, 3-2)
