Deion Sanders has his work cut out for him. The new Colorado football coach is taking over a program that has been trending in the wrong direction for years and was lacking talent. It’s also fresh off a 1-11 season.

But Sanders has done a good job of infusing transfer talent into the roster and bringing in one of the top recruiting classes in the Pac-12 as well.

This means there will be some legitimate breakout candidate potential on the roster.

Here are my three favorite breakout candidates for the Buffaloes not named Shedeur Sanders.

Syedou Traore was one of the best tight ends in the Group of Five last season, catching 50 passes for 655 yards and four touchdowns and while he technically already has broken out, the Power Five is a much different beast.

I think we’ll see Traore become a major piece of the Colorado offense as the starting tight end and he’ll be one of Shedeur Sanders’ favorite targets.

The London, England, native has an athletic 6-foot-4, 223-pound frame and he’s going to be a really tough matchup for opposing defenses all season.

I wouldn’t be completely shocked to see him make one of the All-Pac-12 teams.
