Things are picking up with elite quarterbacks in the 2024 college football recruiting class and here’s the latest on Dylan Raiola, Jadyn Davis, and more.

It’s an important time of year for college football recruiting as things shift toward the 2023 class. Technically, we are still in a dead period but there are still plenty of things happening.

There is still contact allowed but nothing in person right now. That changes in March as there will be a quiet period where recruits are allowed to visit campuses. That means being on campus during spring ball at times and when it comes to quarterbacks especially, there is plenty set to happen in college football recruiting.

Dylan Raiola is the No. 1 overall prospect in the 2024 college football recruiting class. He’s also the No. 1 quarterback and it seems like the top three teams are Nebraska, Georgia, and USC. He was committed to Ohio State but re-opened his recruitment when he decommitted from the Buckeyes.

Nebraska has emerged as a top contender. His father played for the Cornhuskers and his uncle is the offensive line coach. Husker fans were excited this week when it sounded like Dylan Raiola might be changing his visit schedule and not going to UGA on March 18.

Raiola is going to Nebraska the next weekend, but in an interview with Husker Online, Dominic Raiola said his son, Dylan Raiola, would visit Georgia.

Sounds like the like of not visiting Georgia was just a rumor. Nebraska did get a crystal ball recently but Steve Wiltfong still has his prediction in for Georgia.

Michigan still in a good spot for Jadyn Davis

Jadyn Davis, another five-star QB in the 2024 college football recruiting class, did an interview with Sam Webb of The Michigan Insider this week and the biggest takeaway was that he reiterated that NIL won’t be a factor in his recruitment.

That’s music to the ears of Michigan football fans as the team hasn’t landed a top-100 prospect since NIL became a thing. Lots of quarterbacks have been signing huge NIL deals and if Davis was wanting that, Michigan won’t be where he gets it, at least nothing guaranteed up front.

That sentiment from Davis is a huge positive for Michigan. The Wolverines are also expected to host him for a visit this spring. That would give him a chance to meet the new quarterbacks coach in Kirk Campbell and give Michigan another chance to close.

It needs to take advantage.

The latest on the recruitment of Air Noland

Air Noland isn’t a five-star quarterback, but his recruitment is really picking up. He just visited Texas A&M in January, along with Alabama.

We talked about how Ohio State was going to get one of those spring visits and if the Buckeyes offered on that trip, it could make a real impact on Noland’s recruitment.

However, according to 247 sports, he’s also going to visit Texas A&M, Alabama, Miami, Arkansas, and Purdue in addition to Ohio State.

Auburn is the only team with a crystal ball for the four-star quarterback ranked 120th in the 247 sports composite rankings and 11th among QBs, yet the Tigers aren’t on the reported list of visitors.

Alabama is talking about taking a second quarterback but I personally feel like Texas A&M and Ohio State will be tough to beat if they decide to make Noland a top priority.
