The 2023 NFL Draft is a couple of months away and after the Super Bowl concluded a couple of weeks ago, everyone began looking ahead. It’s officially NFL mock draft season.

Kansas City won another Super Bowl thanks to a heroic performance from Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs will get the final pick in the first round.

With the draft order set and excitement for the selection process building, here’s my official post-Super Bowl LVII NFL mock draft.

Scouting Report. EDGE. 1. player. 57. Pick Analysis. Alabama. Will Anderson Jr.

If Will Anderson went to the NFL draft a year ago, there’s a good chance that he would have been the first player picked. The talented Alabama edge rusher finished the 2021 season with 101 tackles, 31 tackles for loss, and 17.5 sacks.

How could he possibly replicate that in 2023?

Well, he didn’t quite put up the same numbers, but he was every bit as dominant and drew plenty of attention from opposing offenses.

Anderson posted 51 total tackles, 17 tackles for loss, and 10 sacks and he also added a pick-six to his impressive numbers. He’s one of those guys who is nearly impossible to guard one-on-one.

The Bears need plenty of defensive help and I just don’t see them giving up on Justin Fields especially after he improved so much in 2022. They could trade down for a team that wants to take Bryce Young or CJ Stroud first overall, but I think they just hold on to the pick and go with Anderson here.
