10. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Bryan Bresee. 12. DL. Clemson. player

Just a few short years ago, Bryan Bresee was the No. 1 recruit in the country. The five-star defensive tackle from Damascus, Md., had about three dozen offers and chose to play at Clemson for Dabo Swinney where he would content annually for a national title.

While the Tigers didn’t have the desired success throughout his career, falling short of a national title in 2020 and then winning the Cheez-It Bowl in 2021 and losing in the Orange Bowl in 2022. But his career had many ups and downs other than the wins and losses.

In fact, Bresee tore his ACL in 2021 and played in just four games, recording 15 tackles, three tackles for loss, and 1.5 sacks. He came back in 2022 and played in nine games post-injury, recording 15 tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss, three sacks, and two pass breakups. He’d be a really solid pick here because his potential is through the roof.

Houston needs some offensive line help, especially after going quarterback with their first pick at No. 2, and why not get a guy who may have been a top-five pick if he never got injured? Bresee’s ceiling is incredibly high.
