25. 31. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. WR. Kayshon Boutte. LSU. player

The Giants desperately need some offensive weapons and if Daniels Jones is around for the long term, he’ll need more than just Saquon Barkley to rely on.

Kayshon Boutte is one of those receivers who could immediately take pressure off the quarterback and bring an extra weapon to the offense. He had quite the career with LSU and never really reached his full potential, but that’s what makes him intriguing as a first-round receiver option.

Boutte broke out as a freshman with the Tigers, catching 45 passes for 735 yards and five touchdowns but his numbers dipped in 2021 because of an injury. He never really got back to that elite level after the injury, but the potential has always been there.

New York should consider taking him here because he’s a low-risk, high-reward type of player who has barely scratched the surface and could make the front office look very smart in a couple of years when he settles in.

Boutte will be the next really good NFL receiver out of LSU.
