Pick Analysis. S. Antonio Johnson. 27. player. Scouting Report. Texas A&M. 16

Right after the best safety gets taken off the board, the Bills will feel some pressure to address their need at the position and take the second-best safety in Antonio Johnson from Texas A&M.

It’s a shame that Johnson’s talent was wasted in 2022 on a really bad Texas A&M team as he finished with 71 tackles, five tackles for loss, a sack, and a pass breakup along with three forced fumbles. He’s really good against the run and in man or press coverage while being an above average tackler. He is one of those defensive backs who can do a little of everything.

The Bills desperately need help at safety and Johnson would be an immediate day one potential starter. He’s that good.

Over his final two seasons at Texas A&M, the former highly-touted recruit had 150 total tackles, 13.5 tackles for loss, two sacks, an interception, six pass breakups, and four forced fumbles in 21 games. He’s a stat-sheet stuffer.
