DL. Clemson. 50. Scouting Report. Myles Murphy. 6. player. Pick Analysis

I really considered going cornerback here for the Lions because they could use someone to line up on the opposite side of Jeff Okudah but I feel like it might be too early to reach for a top defensive back but also the defensive line is a major priority.

Detroit really came on at the end of the 2022 season and if it had a better defense, we might be talking about the Lions as a playoff team.

Unfortunately, they missed out by just one game.

Myles Murphy would be a good fit here, lining up on the edge with Aidan Hutchinson and giving the Lions one of the best young defensive end duos in the NFL. He has the ideal size and overall potential to be one of the best edge rushers in the league in a few years.

Heck, there’s a reason he was the No. 1 defensive end prospect in the 2020 class before committing to Clemson.

He finished his three-year Clemson career with 116 tackles, 36 tackles for loss, and 18.5 sacks. Talk about production.
