It was a memorable season of Big Ten football in 2022 and here are five storylines to follow as spring practices begin across the country.

Spring practices have started across the country and Big Ten football teams are either on the practice field or will be hitting it soon.

Michigan was one of the first Big Ten football teams to start spring practices and the Wolverines will hold their spring game on April 1. Indiana also started this week and Ohio State got its practices underway on Tuesday.

Here is a list from 247 sports of practices and spring games for every college football team. Thinking of Big Ten football specifically, here are five storylines to watch this spring.

Who will play QB for Ohio State?

Devin Brown or Kyle McCord? That’s the question for Ohio State as the Buckeyes try to end a two-year drought of not winning the Big Ten football championship.

Losing C.J. Stroud hurts but the Buckeyes are as well positioned as just about any Big Ten football team heading into 2023 outside of maybe Michigan and Penn State.

The Wolverines return J.J. McCarthy, while Drew Allar at least got some experience last season. However, Ohio State has two guys formerly ranked in the top 43 overall in the 2021 and 2022 classes to choose from.

McCord was the backup last season but that won’t mean much. This spring it will be interesting to see who grabs the lead and it’s one of the top storylines to follow among Big Ten football teams as spring ball is getting underway.
