Top-30 2024 QB quarterback Daniel Kaelin is set to make a decision soon and he will seemingly choose between North Carolina football and Missouri.

It’s not often that you see one player get a crystal ball projection for two different programs on the same day but that’s exactly what happened with Daniel Kaelin, a three-star quarterback in the 2024 recruiting class on Tuesday.

Daniel Kaelin is one of the top players in the state of Nebraska and is actually ranked fourth in the state as well as No. 30 among quarterbacks in the 2024 class. He’s also ranked 489th overall and North Carolina football has been making a strong push for his commitment.

However, the Tar Heels aren’t alone as Missouri football is making a move. The Tigers are actually hosting Kaelin for a visit this weekend according to Steve Wiltfong and there’s a chance that Missouri football is able to close with a commitment.

That’s at least what Wiltfong believes as he entered in a new crystal ball projection for Daniel Kaelin to commit to Missouri football, which was pretty interesting since Parker Thune of 247 sports, also put in a projection for Kaelin to North Carolina football hours earlier.

What does it all mean for 2024 QB Daniel Kaelin?

Dylan Raiola made headlines this week after getting multiple crystal ball projections to USC. A number of other highly-ranked quarterbacks are setting up spring visits and just in the past week, multiple Big Ten teams have landed QB commitments.

Quarterback recruiting is heating up and Kaelin is one of the most underrated passers in this cycle. Players from Nebraska tend to get underrated due to the lack of elite competition in the state, so this would be a nice addition for Missouri football or North Carolina.

Of course, the Tar Heels have also been mentioned as a contender with five-star QB Jadyn Davis, so North Carolina football fans might be hoping the Heels hold off and make more of a push to land the in-state QB.

At the same time, you don’t want to get left without a QB in the recruiting game of musical chairs. Missouri football is making a push and Kaelin is the top target for the Tigers. That could be why they have emerged as a favorite in the eyes of Wiltfong and we’ll see if that leads to a commitment soon.

In-state Nebraska has been a contender too, along with Colorado. The Huskers have been focused on Dylan Raiola, but if he up and committed to USC football, that could change things in the recruitment of Daniel Kaelin, which could be why Missouri is making a concerted effort to get him in the fold as soon as possible.
