4. Kansas Jayhawks

Lance Leipold was one of the best stories in college football in 2022. He turned a borderline dead program around and turned the Jayhawks into real threats in the Big 12. Leipold was even rumored to be a candidate for some head coaching jobs, but he remained in Lawrence.

Kansas might be back, folks.

OK, I think we’re all getting ahead of ourselves. The Jayhawks went from dormant to bowl team last season and it felt like sunshine and rainbows, but is the reality that they exceeded expectations in a somewhat down Big 12 year? Oklahoma, Baylor, and Oklahoma State were all underwhelming and Kansas took advantage.

But does that mean the Jayhawks are frauds or should we be buying stock in them moving forward? I’m honestly unsure and I do like Leipold but Kansas may just be a fraud.

The jury’s still out.
