Jim Harbaugh has done the unthinkable: he has unseated Ohio State as the top dog in the Big Ten. Michigan football has won back-to-back Big Ten titles with two straight wins over the Buckeyes and it feels like the tides are turning in the conference.
The Big Ten runs through Ann Arbor.
And while Buckeye fans are hoping that their team can recapture the conference title this season, they’ll have to do so without CJ Stroud, and with Michigan returning a number of star players such as JJ McCarthy, Blake Corum, Donovan Edwards, and Will Johnson. This team is loaded and it’ll be hosting Ohio State this season with a third straight win in The Game on the line.
Michigan will give everyone their first taste of what the 2023 squad is going to look like this spring with the annual scrimmage taking place soon.
When is Michigan football’s spring game?
Michigan actually has one of the earliest spring games and it’ll have a different feel to it because Cade McNamara doesn’t enter as the projected starter like he did over the last two.
At least Harbaugh doesn’t have to worry about a quarterback battle this time around.
Fans will get their first taste of the offense and the reloaded defense on Saturday, April 1. The Wolverines will play their annual scrimmage at 3 p.m. ET on the same day as the Final Four of March Madness and it’ll be the only Power Five spring game of the day. BYU is the only other Power Five spring game that weekend, playing the day before.
So tune in on April 1 in order to find out how good the Wolverines will be yet again.
