Clemson football on commit watch with 4-star DL Hevin Brown-Shuler?

If Clemson football is going to make it back to the top of the college ranks, it needs to continue to recruit at a high level and Dabo Swinney is going to make sure that keeps happening.

Clemson had the No. 15 class in the country in 2023 and that’s actually somewhat low for the Tigers’ standards and it currently has the No. 11 group for 2024. That could rise even more, and potentially into the top 10, if the current trend for one of the top defensive linemen in the class continues.

The Tigers are actually the current favorite to land four-star defensive lineman Hevin Brown-Shuler who had a number of crystal balls placed for Clemson on Monday.

It feels like Clemson may be on commit watch for Brown-Shuler.

The Tigers have been known for producing elite defensive linemen over the years and Brown-Shuler could be the next one. He looks like he’ll be a future Tiger and he would join a growingly-impressive 2024 class that already has a four-star defensive lineman committed in Champ Thompson.

Brown-Shuler is a 6-4, 290-pounder from Georgia and the Tigers are currently leading an elite pack of Georgia, Michigan, North Carolina, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Oregon, Penn State, and USC for his services. If they can beat out that group of teams, along with over two dozen others, Swinney will be in good shape in the 2024 class.

The four-star is ranked the No. 125 overall recruit and the 15th-best defensive lineman in the class, per the 247Sports Composite.
