SEC Football: Most impactful newcomers for each team

Alabama Crimson Tide
Head coach Nick Saban and the Crimson Tide have many questions to answer this season. Two of the more impactful newcomers for the Crimson Tide aren’t even players. New offensive coordinator Tommy Rees and new defensive coordinator Kevin Steele seem like upgrades over Bill O’Brien and Pete Golding, but time will tell.
One thing is for sure, this team has a lot of new faces, and how they mesh will be an exciting storyline. The Crimson Tide did not dip into the portal heavily this offseason, but when you sign nine five-star recruits, there is not much need to dip into the portal.
On an offensive line losing three starters, expect blue-chipper Kaydn Proctor to compete for one of the starting tackle spots. The Tide could also kick him inside to guard until he can move outside. Expect to see freshman Jordan Renaud and James Smith in the defensive line rotation. EDGE rushers Yhonzae Pierre and Keon Keeley will likely see snaps this fall.
Nothing is settled at running back with Jahmyr Gibbs off to the draft. Blue-chipper Justice Haynes could compete for snaps with no clear number-one running back.
