Big Ten football has been on the upswing in recent years. Programs like Michigan and Penn State have been on the rise while Ohio State continues to contend for titles every year.

Unlike the previous 10, or so, seasons, Ohio State has not dominated the conference. The Buckeyes are still beating teams that they’re expected to beat, but they’ve been unable to take down Michigan over the past two seasons and a big reason for that has been the rise of Jim Harbaugh in what seems like a rejuvenated program.

The Wolverines have bounced back in a major way thanks to Harbaugh while Ryan Day and the Buckeyes are in some serious danger. The grip on the conference has slipped away.

Even though Day has struggled against his rival in recent years, he’s still one of the best coaches the conference has to offer despite being dubbed “overrated” and “born on third base.”

I’m not including him on this list of “overrated” Big Ten coaches because, well, it’s hard to call a coach with a 45-6 career record, two conference titles, and a national title game appearance “overrated.” If anything, he’s been knocked too much for the success that he’s had.

Which Big Ten coaches, however, are the most overrated heading into the season?
