The 2023 NFL Draft is right around the corner and Notre Dame football has a handful of really impressive prospects to send to the league.

Notre Dame had a solid season and is producing some elite prospects that could start on Sundays as rookies.

Here’s where I see Notre Dame’s top NFL draft prospects going later this month.

Michael Mayer, TE: Mid-first round

This should come as no surprise given the fact that Michael Mayer is the best tight end prospect in the draft. I think Mayer will be the first tight end off the board and he’ll go somewhere in the middle of the draft to a team like the Packers, Chargers, or Commanders.

If Mayer were to drop a little bit further, I think the Bengals could scoop him up at No. 28. I couldn’t even imagine how scary that offense would be with Mayer added to the mix. Joe Burrow with weapons like Ja’Marr Chase, Tee Higgins, and Mayer? That’s just not fair for the rest of the NFL.

Mayer is a former Army All-American who was also a Mackey Award finalist after he finished his junior year with 67 catches for 809 yards and nine scores.

The 6-foot-4, 250-pound tight end has earned the nickname “Baby Gronk” which shows what kind of potential he has.
