It’s been a wild week of college football recruiting at the quarterback position and it was capped on Saturday with Ohio State football landing elite QB Air Noland. Here’s a look back at each QB commitment over the past week.

We have said it a number of times, but when it comes to college football recruiting, getting a good quarterback is as important as anything and we saw that this week.

Six Power-5 programs landed quarterback commitments this week. Ohio State football landed the best player on Saturday in top-100 talent Air Noland. But Miami, Louisville, TCU, Oklahoma, and Iowa State all landed quarterback pledges too.

The dominoes have started falling in the 2024 college football recruiting class at the quarterback position. Last week, five-star Jadyn Davis committed and this week, Noland, one of the other top undecided passers made his call.

That’s three top-100 prospects in the past week if you include Jake Merklinger committing to Tennessee last week.

At any rate, here is a ranking and breakdown of each quarterback that committed in the 2024 college football recruiting class this past week.

6. 3-star QB Judd Anderson to Miami

Miami was one of the teams that landed a new signal-caller this weekend as three-star Judd Anderson committed to the Hurricanes on Friday as part of the 2024 college football recruiting class.

Anderson ranks outside the top 1,000 of the 247 sports composite rankings and isn’t exactly the kind of big-time addition Miami football fans were hoping for in the 2024 class after landing a three-star a season ago, but Anderson did get offers from Georgia Tech, Pitt, and Ole Miss.

Anderson is a big kid and he’s got the tools to be a Power-5 starter down the road, but it’s going to take some development. Still, it’s better to get a talented QB with upside than no QB at all.

5. 3-star QB Connor Moberly to Iowa State

Iowa State football has done a solid job of recruiting the quarterback position over the years and got another solid arm this weekend in three-star, in-state QB Connor Moberly.

Moberly is ranked 857th overall in the 2024 class and the 6-foot-4, 195-pound quarterback is the No. 11 prospect in the state of Iowa. He’s not as dynamic as Anderson and probably doesn’t have the same upside.

However, he’s a multi-sport athlete and a guy that is known for being smart with the ball and making good decisions. He sounds like a perfect Iowa State quarterback and the Cyclones did well to land Moberly in my opinion.
