Ole Miss fans should really be excited about Chris Marshall in a Rebel jersey. The former five-star receiver from the 2022 class decided to leave Texas A&M after just one season and Ole Miss could use him to be a potential WR1 in 2023.

Both Jonathan Mingo and Malik Heath are gone, so Lane Kiffin went into the portal and landed one of the best wideout talents on the market. This is why he’s the “portal king.”

Marshall was the No. 25 prospect in the nation and the third-best receiver, according to the 247Sports Composite. He chose Texas A&M over two dozen others and was part of the Aggies’ best recruiting class ever. But now he’s looking for a fresh start at another SEC school.

And he’s going to flourish.

The 6-foot-3, 195-pound wideout from Missouri City, Texas, had 11 catches for 108 yards in six games as a true freshman and I think we’ll see those numbers balloon in 2023.

Marshall may become a household name this season in Oxford.
