The national runner-up could also use more depth at quarterback. The Horned Frogs made a serious run at Jaden Rashada after Florida let him out of his national letter of intent.
Rashada went to Arizona State. TCU does have Chandler Morris coming back and he was the starter at the beginning of the 2022 season before giving way to Max Duggan.
The Horned Frogs have a few needs that they need to fill, especially after former top-100 wide receiver Jordan Hudson entered the college football transfer portal on Tuesday. He was ranked 92nd overall in the 2022 class according to the 247 Sports composite rankings and caught 14 passes for 174 yards and three touchdowns last season.
It’s not like he wasn’t going to have a role next season. It seemed like his role was only going to expand and following a pretty productive freshman season, I would expect lots of attention for Hudson.
For TCU, wide receiver is a key need. But quarterback is too and the Horned Frogs could use another starting-caliber quarterback heading into the 2023 season.
