3 college football teams that need a quarterback in transfer portal

Auburn
Another team that could really use a quarterback in the transfer portal is Auburn. Hugh Freeze took over a less-than-stellar quarterback room. He’s added to it in the 2024 class with the commitment of Walker White.
White was seen as a Clemson lean at one point, but Auburn won that recruitment which is a good sign moving forward.
Robby Ashford is set to be the starter next season for Auburn but he completed just 49 percent of his passes and threw seven touchdowns compared to seven interceptions.
Yet, it’s one thing to want a quarterback in the transfer portal — Auburn needs more to enter. There are a few options now but none that would be the clear upgrade that Freeze likely wants.
If someone like Maalik Murphy from Texas entered the portal or maybe Devin Brown from Ohio State, I’d expect Auburn and probably all three teams on this list to pounce.

At the end of the day though, the transfer portal is likely to be short on quality quarterbacks which will make the next few weeks very interesting.
