Peter Skoronski: Grading the Titans 11th overall Pick in NFL draft
By Dante Pryor
The Tennessee Titans select Northwestern tackle Peter Skoronski with the No. 11 pick in the 2023 NFL draft.
In a bit of a surprise move, the Tennessee Titans selected Peter Skoronski, an offensive tackle from Northwestern in the first round of the 2023 NFL draft.
Peter Skoronski was the top tackle on many big boards coming into the draft, so the Titans did get great value from the pick. However, should the Titans have drafted a quarterback with the 11th pick?
That depends on how you view the quarterbacks after Young, Shroud, and Richardson. The Titans got a heck of a football player in Peter Skoronski.
Head coach Mike Vrabel is going to love Skoronski. There is some criticism about his arm length, but there was the same criticism about Joe Thomas, and he turned out alright.
All you need to know about Peter Skoronski is on his tape. Despite Northwestern not being very good, he was outstanding. The Illinois native is a rugged throwback with an excellent head for the game. Skornonski is a pass-blocking specialist who does an exceptional job of understanding stunts, twists, and blitzes.
Peter Skoronski has played a lot of snaps and was productive during his time at Northwestern. He has excellent feet, and you love the balance that he plays with.
He allowed zero sacks and had the fewest holding penalties in the conference last season on his way to being a first-team All-American.
You do love the versatility because he can play guard and tackle. However, if the Titans are wise, they will give Skoronski every opportunity to play guard before kicking him inside.
