The only reason that Blake Fisher isn’t the starting left tackle for the Irish is Joe Alt.

Alt wasn’t the highest-rated prospect out of high school at No. 400 overall, but the former four-star has already exceeded expectations. He’s one of the best offensive linemen in the country and he started every game at left tackle for the Irish.

The junior offensive tackle was a first-team All-American this season and he was basically on every single award watch list. He was a machine in 2022.

Now, he enters his junior season as a legit first-round prospect. He could be the first offensive lineman off the board in next year’s draft and some even have him as a top-10 prospect.

I would not be shocked to see Alt selected in round one in 2024. I actually expect it.

Next. 5 programs that could be the next dynasty. dark
