5 biggest winners from college football recruiting in April
4. Florida State Football
Florida State football continues to build momentum in recruiting and the Seminoles probably landed the biggest commitment of anyone in April by flipping former Georgia commit and five-star tight end Landen Thomas.
Thomas is 6-foot-4, 235 pounds, and is ranked as the No. 1 tight end in the 2024 class. It’s another sign that college football fans need to take the Noles seriously.
Mike Norvell and Florida State football turned a corner last season on the field and they are using that momentum to build a really good recruiting class.
FSU has two commitments in the top 36 so far in 2024, as well as four-star quarterback Luke Kromenhoek who committed in March. He’s the No. 10 ranked quarterback according to the 247 Sports composite rankings and right now, with 11 commitments, FSU is ranked seventh.
Seven of them are blue-chip prospects and one that isn’t is a three-star kicker.
