2. Texas

To be honest, Texas got considered as the team with the No. 1 quarterback room in college football. Quinn Ewers is a projected first-round pick that was ranked as the No. 1 quarterback coming out of high school.

Ewers hasn’t really lived up to the hype quite yet but last season was his first as a starter and it was limited due to injury. He’ll have one chance to prove himself, because after 2023, regardless of what happens, it will be Arch Manning’s time in Texas.

Manning was the No. 1 overall recruit in the 2023 class and it was impressive the way Steve Sarkisian beat out Alabama, Georgia, and many others for his commitment.

If you add Maalik Murphy, another four-star quarterback that other college football teams would have been all over him had he entered the portal, and this is easily one of the best quarterback rooms in all of college football.

Yet, it’s not the best, at least in my book.
