2. Earnest Greene III vs Austin Blaske

Georgia football returns one of the most experienced and talented interior offensive line groups in the country. Headlined by center Sedrick Van Pran, the strong middle of the line must help out the edges early in the year.

Departing tackles Broderick Jones and Warren McClendon will be tough to replace. In place of Jones, junior Amarius Mims should start at right tackle, but the blindside protector role could be up for grabs.

The most experienced candidate is Austin Blaske. The former 3-star recruit played in 10 games last year and earned a 79.1 PFF grade on his 73 snaps. Even though he earned praise from Kirby Smart for his athleticism and versatility, he heads into the season as the underdog for left tackle.

Earnest Greene III lost his freshman year to a back injury that required surgery but is the bigger and more powerful option. He was a five-star from St John Bosco with an impressive 6’5, 330 lbs frame. While he has the higher ceiling, Blaske’s toughness makes this an intriguing battle.
