1. Kendall Milton vs Daijun Edwards

A hamstring injury prevented Kendall Milton from participating in spring practice. With Milton penciled in to be the game-changing piece of the backfield, Georgia football is in no rush to get him back on the field.

The hope is the electric playmaker can fill the role that Kenny McIntosh held for last year’s National Champions.

So far, Milton has been slowed by knee and groin injuries in his first three years but played a part in ten games last season. He was used more heavily at the start of the year and finished with 422 rushing yards.

His absence cleared the way for Daijun Edwards to get more reps. However, an undisclosed injury also forced him to the sidelines. It seems a safety-first approach from the Bulldogs to ensure both are healthy for the season.

Edwards ran for 612 yards and 7 touchdowns in 2022, while also being used more heavily in the passing game than Milton. This will be a true two-headed beast for Georgia football at running back but the interest will be in who becomes the go-to guy in big situations.
