Texas A&M football: Post-spring game-by-game predictions for 2023
Following a tough win over Miami to improve to 2-0 and make a statement on a national level, Texas A&M will get another tune-up game before SEC play kicks off. The Aggies will host ULM in Week 3 and this one won’t be very close.
A hot start to the season for Conner Weigman will spark some jump-the-gun Heisman talk as he’ll have his third straight 300-yard game. He’ll also throw three touchdown passes and be out of the game by the end of the third quarter.
Prediction: Win (3-0)
I’m not very high on Auburn heading into the season despite the fact that the Tigers moved on from Bryan Hardin and hired Hugh Freeze who has a history of success in the SEC. He’s not going to be overwhelmed with this schedule, but going to College Station and stealing a win from the suddenly-hot Aggies just won’t happen.
Payton Thorne may be the new starting quarterback and this is the type of stage that he shied away from at Michigan State. He struggled in some big games in hostile environments and this is just that.
Prediction: Win (4-0, 1-0 SEC)
