Facing Nick Saban and Alabama is a tough enough task, but doing so on the road is just asking to be handed a loss.
I could like Arkansas’ chances to improve drastically next season and be one of the best teams in the SEC, but I just don’t like anyone’s chances of winning in Tuscaloosa against Saban and the Tide. They’re going to trot out yet another top-five national title-contending team, even if the quarterback situation hasn’t been solved yet.
Alabama wins this one easily.
Prediction: Loss (4-3, 1-3)
Sitting at 1-3 in SEC play after a second straight road loss and not having played at home since Sept. 16, Arkansas is going to return to Fayetteville with a very winnable game on the schedule.
Mississippi State went through a lot this offseason and I think the Bulldogs will be in rebuilding mode this year. In that case, I can see the Razorbacks winning this one big and letting out all the anger that had built up over the recent tough stretch in which they lost 3-of-4.
Prediction: Win (5-3, 2-3)
