Colorado football has been in all the headlines this offseason whether it’s been for the hiring of Deion Sanders, impressive spring game attendance, or wave of transfers.

The Buffaloes enter the 2023 season with minimal expectations based on the fact that the roster has been absolutely gutted, but Sanders and Co. will still be better than the 1-11 team that we saw from a year ago.

What are the update post-spring game-by-game predictions telling us?

Going to Fort Worth to face the defending national runner-up isn’t exactly the warmest welcome for Deion Sanders at Colorado.

The Buffaloes still have a roster to fill out, but I do think they’ll be better and more competitive than they were last season, especially with Shedeur Sanders under center and Travis Hunter playing both sides of the ball.

TCU, however, will win this one and take advantage of a brand new roster trying to gel still.

Prediction: Loss (0-1)

Like Colorado, Nebraska will be entering a new era under Matt Rhule but I do think the Cornhuskers are in a much better place after spring ball than the Buffaloes. Although this game will be played in Boulder, I just think Nebraska is the better team.

I think Sanders is going to have a solid game but Jeff Sims and Co. will be too much as the Cornhuskers steal a one-touchdown win on the road.

Prediction: Loss (0-2)
