EA Sports is going to have the ability to include FBS players in the NCAA Football 24 video game and that’s a game-changer.

With his new era of NIL in college football, fans have been expecting that the new NCAA Football video game being released by EA Sports in 2024 was going to have actual college football players.

This isn’t something that college football fans got to enjoy during the series or with any college football video game of the past.

Anyone who played the old Bill Walsh College Football up through NCAA Football 14, which was the last version made, knows that you only got to be the imitation version of players.

Unlike in Madden, which has the face and names of real players, college football games had to imitate real players because they didn’t have the ability to use their names, image, and likeness.

Now, that the rules have changed, NCAA Football (EA Sports) is going to take advantage and if players opt-in, they can be shown in the new college football video game expected to come out prior to the 2024 college football season.

The details of the agreement, which was first reported by ESPN, are still being finalized, however, it could be in the range of $5 million according to the same report by ESPN, which would be in the neighborhood of $500 bucks per college football player.

That doesn’t seem like a ton of money, I’ll be honest, but you’d have to think most players would do it. Many of them would probably like the chance to play as themselves and this would alleviate having to download rosters and do all the things we used to do back in the day.

NCAA Football’s long-awaited return just got even more exciting. Imagine getting to play as Caleb Williams or Bryce Young or Marvin Harrison Jr.? Soon enough, we’ll get that chance, which is going to make the new video game series better than ever before, regardless of the gameplay.
